National Newborn Week

A week long programme to promote the well being of newborn babies wss conducted by the Family Welfare Department of IGH in active support from Department of Pediatrics and Coporate Social Rsponsibility. It was inaugurated by the Director I/C of Medical & Health Services on 15th November 2007. Here village level health workers are being refreshed about their knowledge on new born babies by Dr. N C Nanda, Head of Pediatrics. The programme was conducted in villages on other days of the week.

The State Conference of API was held in Bhanja Bhavan, Rourkela with active co-operation from Rourkela Steel Plant and Ispat General Hospital on 10th & 11th November 2007. In the Inaugural function Sri B N Singh, Managing Director, RSP was the Chief Guest and Dr. D N Mohapatra, Director I/C of Medical & Health Services, RSP were the Chief Guest & Guest of Honour respectively, The Organising Scretary and Joint Secretary for the Conference were Dr. S Mohapatra and Dr. Anil K Dutt. Dr. Sk Mishra was the Chairman for the Scientific session.
