Farewel to Sister Felisita Soreng

Date-2nd July 2009
Venue- IGH Conference Hall

Sister Felisita was highly held by her colleagues, juniors and the doctors as someone who was always calm, hard-working and God-fearing. Her patients held her in high esteem for her service. As a child also Felisita was a sort of a hero in this part of the country. She had the courage to save 6 people when a country boat they were traveling in a river by the side of her house capsized and as a child of 9 years she pulled them up to the shore by throwing a cloth. She was conferred President's bravery award. Later she graduated from the Nursing School in IGH and worked in RAmakrishna Sevasadan for a couple of years before being appointed in IGH. But it was her empathy that endered her to patients and their relations.Colleagues, friends and doctors wished her a happy life in retirement.
