Farewell to Mrs. Anusaya Mohapatra & Mrs. Monika Bose

Mrs. Monika Bose was the Principal of Nursing Training Institute in Ispat General Hospital and Mrs. Anusaya Mohapatra was a senior staff in Emergency Medicine when they both superannuated on 31st of July 2010. Mrs. Mohapatra has immense contribution working in various departments like Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry and Orthopedics etc before finally superannuating from Emergency Department. A bold and courageous staff who handles patients with real love and affection, she was highly adored by the staff and colleagues. Mrs. Bose joined NTI long back and has risen to lead it for the last 4 years and has taken the institute to greater heights. In a send off meeting on 31st July where Dr. SK Mishra, Durector of Medical & Health Services presided, colleagues recollected contribution made by both in their respective areas and wished them happy post-retirement lives.

Felicitation to Dr. P C Mohapatra

Prof. Purna Chandra Mohapatra or PCM as he is popularly called is a dynamic obstetrician and gynaecologist from the State of Orissa who has blended his professional and teaching skills with a lot of humanistic approaches that has endeared him to the public and friends across the length and breadth of the country. With a lot of admirers in Rourkela, his recent election to the post of President, FOGSI which was celebrated in the minds of his friends and colleagues in Rourkela, Dr. Mohapatra was approached for a Felicitation function which materialised on 28th October 2009 in IGH Conference Hall. Members of Rourkela Obstetrics Society, IMA-Rourkela branch and IMA-Rourkela City barnch joined together to felicitate Dr. Mohapatra.Dr. PC Mohapatra after his arrival from Cuttack also demonstrated surgery in two cases in IGH for the benefit of DNB trainees apart from talking to his colleagues about the current problems faced by doctors.
