Dr. SK Mishra is no more

Saroj
Dr. Saroj Kanti Mishra, the Ex-Director of Ispat General Hospital, SAIL, RSP passed away on 10th of October 2015. A man with vision and human values, Dr. Mishra will be remembered by his colleagues, friends and patients for a long time.An affable personality, Ispat General Hospital will remember him - for providing a platform in the hospital for research by its own faculty and international scientists in many areas of interest for our country particularly in malaria, for providing a group of young doctors in the form of post-graduate trainees(DNB trainees) in IGH and for the new Trauma Care Centre in IGH where he breathed his last. He also was the main architect of many other things that have been put to use after his tenure like the Liquid Oxygen supply and new OPD complex. What stood out in Dr. Saroj Mishra was his impeccable honesty and integrity apart from his strong  commitments to his patients and friends.
For the last 14 months he was diagnosed to have GBM and was treated in the Tata Cancer Centre in Kolkata and IGH. He was shifted to the ICU on 9th morning and passed away at 315 PM on 10th.
It has been a great loss to his family- a big one in any standard- with mother, wife, son, brothers and sisters and their respective families apart from the whole of Rourkela with his patients and friends from all hues in the society.
May this great soul rest in peace and may God help his immediate family members enough courage to bear the great loss.

Dr. P Chatterjee is no more

Dr. Pramit Chatterjee, Senior Deputy Director passed away with a massive heart attack around 1130 PM on 12th July 2015. Dr. Chatterjee joined Ispat General Hospital in the year 1991 and had mostly contributed in the departments of Casualty and Emergency Medicine and Occupational Health Services where he came in close contact with the steel plant collective and also the Rourkela public. By dint of his sober and gentle behaviour he was able to eandear himself to his colleagues and patients apart from rendering valuable free services to the needy through the local Sathya Sai Seva Organisation where he was an active participant. He had been to Delhi to get his daughter admitted to a mass communication course along with his wife and daughter only the day before. It has been a great loss to his family and friends and along with them the colleagues and staff of IGH and OHS Centre have been put into deep distress because of the untimely and sudden demise of a vastly popular man. May his soul rest in peace and may God help his family members with enough courage to face the premature and sad event.
