Colleagues bid farewel to Dr. J Sarangi

Dr. J Sarangi, in his own words, had an association of more than 50 years with Rourkela Steel Plant and Ispat General Hospital. His father Mr. Bhudev Sarangi was a very known and house-hold name in RSP circle for being a legal consultant for Rourkela Steel Plant and a shining legal luminary in the State of Orissa. Dr. Sarangi was born and brought up in this part of Orissa and joined IGH after completing his Medical graduation from VSS Medical College in 1968. Always upright and straight-talking, he had the tremendous capacity to empathise with patients and their relatives. He worked in various departments and capacities in IGH during his long tenure but his tenure in Pediatrics and as Medical Superintendent of IGH are worth remembering apart from heading the Casualty Services during the last 5 years. Always keeping in mind the company's interest, Dr. Sarangi went all out to help patients and friends and as such was a very popular figure in IGH. Mrs. Sarangi is a very sociable lady with immense contribution to social causes like disabilty. With his only daughter and son-in-law serving in Rourkela as doctors, the Sarangis have decided to settle in Rourkela- Jalda C Block near Sector-22.
Dr. Sarangi can be contacted by friends on +91 9437424313
Best wishes to Mrs. & Dr. J Sarangi in their second innings.

Dr. Jnyanendra Sarangi worked in various departments in IGH before heading the Casuality- a very hot seat in terms of responsibility and taking immediate care of patients.
