Dr. B B Rao, Joint Director conducted a communication meeting for a section of employees of IGH on 24th July to improve the day-to-day functioning of the hospital indoors in collaboration with the Personnel department.

Occupational Health Day Celebrated

Annual Occupational Health Day was celebrated on 9th July in the Conference Hall of IGH. Fr. D N Mohapatra, Director I/C was the Chief Guest and Dr. P K Nanda, well-known Psychiatrist of the town was the Chief Speaker. President of Orissa IAOH Chapter Dr. S K Satpathy presided.

Dr. P Panigrahi from IISCO, Burnpur

Dr. P Panigrahi, Director of Medical & Health Services, IISCO, Burnpur visited IGH on our invitation on 6th & 7th July 2007 and took classes for DNB candidates from Obs. & Gyn. apart from taking a Guest Lecture on "How to present Medical papers" for all doctors of IGH. Guest Lecture on "Acute Coronary Syndrome"

Dr. Bidhan Kahali, eminent Cardiologist of the country from B M Birla Hospital Kolkata talked to members of IMA on "Acute Coronary Syndrome" on the same day- 17th July 2007. NACO's Trainining Programme for AIDS through SAIL,RSP

A 3 day training programme for Medical Officers in AIDS got started in IGH on 17th July 2007 and was inaugurated by DM & HS, RSP Dr. Pk Rath. Dr. Usha Dash, our Microbiologist was the first trainer and apart from participants from IGH, there were others from Govt.-run Helath Centres in Sundargarh District. Director, Dr. Rath is seen listening to the first lecture in company of Medical Officers getting trained.
