Dr. D P Roy is no more

He had visited IGH in October 2006 in connection with his son undergoing a minor surgery by Dr. G N Sahu, our current Head of Surgery when we took the snap and published a small note about him on 10th October. He had been to his son who is a surgeon in the Indian Army recently and was back at ome in Chhend Colony a couple of days back in relative good health but felt uneasy on 31st January morning and was shifted to IGH. Here he succumbed to a massive heart attack. Once a very popular surgeon in IGH, Dr. D P Roy was a through human being. A pace-maker was implanted on him only a few days after his retirement in 1993. Dr. Roy decided to stay back in Orissa after almost 35 years of service in the erstwhile HSL and SAIL and is now survived by his wife and two married sons and their families. We pray God to rest Dr. D P Roy's soul in peace.
